Look closer. This isn't just three birds in a garden. This is a whole world in the middle of becoming.
The tui stands tall, watching outward, already arrived in herself. The bellbird has her quiet eye on the little piwakawaka, that particular soft vigilance of someone who has walked the path and recognises another just beginning. And the piwakawaka? Completely absorbed in her own contemplation, surveying everything, working something out. Still becoming. Still figuring it out. Exactly where she needs to be.
How many times have you been in a room like this? The one who has arrived. The one who holds space for others. The one still deep in the becoming. Maybe you've been all three at different moments in your life.
This is what it looks like when we give each other permission to be exactly where we are in the journey. No rushing. No fixing. Just this. Bloom and beauty and birds at every stage of their becoming, held together by something larger and more magnificent than any of them could create alone.
That's a whole world right there. And you're in it too.
